For the first 20 years of her career Linda worked as a Director of Nursing and CEO in Long Term Care and taught Nursing at a college level. Over the next fifteen years Linda and her husband Dale were pastors of a church in the Thornhill area. In 2004 the Bolton’s went to Malawi, when they heard that there were 40 million orphans in Africa. Shortly after their return home from Africa, Linda’s sister discovered a magnesium supplement that radically improved her severe migraines and helped Linda with insomnia and muscle pain. This product, Natural Calm, was only sold in the US so Linda decided to import it into Canada and within a year Natural Vitality awarded her the exclusive distribution rights for Canada. Natural Calm is now the top selling magnesium powder in Canada. The profits after business expenses go to Organics 4 Orphans, the charity that the Bolton’s started in 2008, which promotes sustainability to the poor, by teaching them organic gardening, natural medicine, nutrition and income generation.
