Dr. Connie Omari is a certified clinical trauma professional and holds a certificate in PTSD and Hypnosis. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Psychology and African-American Studies. Later in her life, she went back to school to receive her Master of Arts and Master of Education in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. Finally, she got her Ph. D., in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University, where she defended her dissertation entitled: Marital Attitudes and Expectations Between Whites and Blacks in America. She's been able to bring these focused degrees together to empower resilient trauma and addiction survivors. I get to talk to her on this episode and go a little deeper into her thought processes and discover her journey.
