Today’s episode is special as we conclude season 3 of the podcast. I have with me two young entrepreneurs who are making their mark in their own way. In Conversation with Divya Singhal and Navjor Kaur Thind from the Sharealittle Giving Platform. Divya Singhal is a Chartered Accountant by qualification and a social entrepreneur by choice. She began her career as an audit assistant at EY where she worked for 3 years followed by a 2.5-year stint in Equity Research at a Mumbai-based Broking House. To bring alive her compassion for humanity, she along with her friend, Trishla Pareek co-founded a non-profit crowdfunding platform called ShareALittle in November-2020. Navjot Kaur is an award-winning, LA-based filmmaker with a focus on production, screenwriting, and animation. She earned a Bachelors of Arts (Hons.) from Royal Holloway, the University of London in Media Arts, and an MFA in Film from College of Visual and Performing Arts, Syracuse University. She primarily explores the representation of minorities and young children in narrative storytelling. Her latest short film, On This Side, shows the difficulties for students from poorer backgrounds during the COVID19 pandemic and how we can help them to overcome the challenges. The job opportunity post the course enables them to earn ~Rs. 8K/month apart from improved soft skills, confidence, and bargaining power. ShareALittle endeavors to raise Rs. 25,000 per student for 12 students for the advancement of their careers.
