E317 Don't Let The Algorithm Run Your Life

Would you ever allow a computer to dictate where you went out to dinner each time that you did? What about which clothes to purchase? What event to attend? 

Believe it or not, chances are that it's probably exactly what you are doing. 

I came across a very interesting TEDx talk where this gentleman was talking about how working for Google changed his perception of just how much he had allowed his own life to be dictated by technology. 

This led him to create a piece of software that would shift the algorithm into things that he felt like he had to have, into new and random things that he got to learn and explore.
