Barbara Butler is the founder and CEO of Barbara Butler Artist-Builder Inc. She hasbeen designing and building extraordinary custom tree houses and play structuresfor children for over 30 years, both residential and commercial, within the UnitedStates and internationally. Her mom wanted her to be a lawyer, but she lovedworking with her hands. School breaks were spent working for her brotherslearning bricklaying and construction. After graduate school, she gave up on theidea of getting a real job and moved to San Francisco to be an artist. She startedpainting, then building decks, then landed her first play structure job working forBobby McFerrin (“Don’t Worry/Be Happy”). And that was it! Her passion!
