E37 Simon G Talbot, MD on "Fixing Healthcare… From The Trenches" with Dr. Badia

More than twelve years on faculty at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School has seen him promoted to rank of Associate Professor, publish more than 100 peer-reviewed papers, more than 30 chapters and lay-press articles, present more than 120 local, national, and international lectures, and mentor and teach countless students and surgical trainees. His research in the area of extremity trauma and transplantation has earned funding from the National Institutes of Health and United States Department of Defense. Within hospital administration, Talbot was elected to the position of Co-chair of the Physicians’ Council, representing Faculty on the Physician Organization Board.His passion for healthcare improvement has led Talbot to co-found (with Wendy Dean MD), Moral Injury of Healthcare, a 501c3 non-profit.
