It’s true that the country has a long history of immigration that started in the XIXth century. Several times, France had to seek foreign workers to rebuild itself after the two world wars and to support its economy. But did the country give these people the chance to integrate with the rest of the society? Today, considering the situation in French sensitive urban zones, where mostly people with foreign origins live, we could assume that the French integration model does not work. Faced with this failure, the immigration topic is more and more present in political debates. So in this new podcast, we’ll see if France is still a good adoptive home for immigrants.
