Vicki Brown Sobecki, an All-American swimmer who earned one of the first women's athletic scholarships at Texas A&M discusses the history of Texas A&M's swimming program and how Title IX has lifted women into leadership roles beyond sports. In 2022, the SEC named Vicki as one of the two trailblazers of women's athletics at Texas A&M. The Nine for Title IX series celebrates the 50th anniversary of Title IX, which was signed into law in June of 1972.
