Emily Galvin is the co-founder and co-executive director of Partners for justice (PfJ), a group focused on improving the lives of low-income people by empowering and supporting them through holistic defense. In this episode of Urban Impact Podcast, we discussed PfJ's approach of 'holistic legal representation', and the transformative effects that it can have on disenfranchised communities around the US. Emily has been a public defender in California and New York, and has worked to protect both people facing charges, and people returning home from incarceration.
