Warren Buffett has laid out a simple retirement strategy for the trustee of his wife's estate. The strategy is very simple and involves the use of only two investment vehicles. Mr. Buffett has instructed the assets to be allocated 90% to a low cost S&P 500 index fund and 10% to a short term government bond fund. If Warren Buffett thinks this strategy is suitable for his wife after he is gone then perhaps it can be suitable for the average investor as well.
