E55 Robert A. Martin

This week we are joined by Robert A. Martin from Panama City, Panama. Born in Concord, Massachusetts and  raised in the Republic of Panama – Robert has been fortunate enough to have a very multicultural background which transcends into his work and style. His career in the industry began in the US while working in Atlanta for a short spell. Eventually, Robert moved on to the great city of New York where he worked for 8 years in the industry while attending school and studying international business and finance. Robert realized that the restaurant industry was his passion and calling in life, and this brought him back to Panama where he opened his first restaurant INTIMO in 2014.   At INTIMO, Robert created cocktails with local produce and traditions that pair well with the food menu designed and created by chef and business partner Carlos Alba. Food and drink connect a story with local history in order for the patrons to enjoy an immersive experience in the local culture and scene.    In his downtime when Robert is not working, he loves soccer, discovering new restaurants, and watching a great movie.
