In the wake of George Floyd's murder and the ensuing protests and riots it's been difficult for me to concentrate on talking movies, videogames and comics. And at the top of the show I talk a little bit about our relationship with recent events and our framework of pop culture. It's a conversation we should always be having and are privileged by the fact that we don't always have to have it. But that doesn't mean we have to stop our goals of providing YOU with some respite from the real world as well. To help me with that is my friend Brian Klemm of the band Suburban Legends. We talk about making music under quarantine, why DC's Lobo is his favorite character and what DC or Marvel stories most parallel current events.
