Frederique Leblanc joins the show this week from Montreal Quebec. Currently, Frederique is a Brand Ambassador for Diageo's Reserve Portfolio in Montreal.  Frederique had an interest in mixology at an early age. When Frederique was in her early teenage years, she was already having fun making the most extravagant hot chocolate and Shirley Temples filled with quirky garnishes. Frederique’s parents encouraged this talent over the years and when she turned 18, her parents offered her the opportunity to take a bartending class. At that point in time, Frederique was hooked - she fell in love with the creative side of modern cocktails.

At the time, Frederique didn't think she could make a career in the hospitality world, mainly because by nature she was a very shy and reserved person. Nevertheless, Frederique decided to go work in a bar while continuing her studies in cinema. She started as a barback at Datcha, a small Russian bar. Frederiique fell in love again - this time in the bar world. Her bar manager, Simon Lespérance, believed in Frederique before she even believed in herself. Simon provided Frederque with all of his knowledge and especially his passion. It was the beginning of a beautiful love story between Frederique and the bar world. This new found confidence allowed Frederique to overcome her shyness and became someone she really liked when she was behind the bar.
