She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Vanderbilt University and trained at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Prior to joining Tennessee Oncology she was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she worked with the cancer and sickle cell disease programs.
