E7: Marriage, Divorce, Remarriage Part 3: Contextualizing Jesus

Our previous episodes on this topic addressed the nature of Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage in the Old Testament, under the Law of Moses. We discussed the divorce certificate and valid reasons for divorce under the Hebrew Law. In this edition, we begin to discuss Jesus' teachings on Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage, and we begin with the cultural, literary, and historical context in which Jesus lived. This background is critical to understanding what Jesus taught, and WHY he taught what he did.
