E70: DACA el sueño americano de miles podría terminar

DACA, un acrónimo que hemos escuchado tantas veces en las noticias y muchos no saben a ciencia cierta de qué se trata. DACA quiere decir Deffered Action for Childhood Arrivals, beneficia a menores inmigrantes que han llegado con sus padres sin documentos legales al país pero tienen la oportunidad de estudiar, graduarse y trabajar con un seguro social siempre y cuando no tengan antecedentes penales. DACA fue creado por el presidente Obama en el 2012 y en el 2017 el presidente Trump pidió su cancelación. En este mes de junio la Suprema Corte de Justicia tomará la decisión de si este programa que ayuda a miles de inmigrantes termina o continúa. Josué Tuyub es un enfermero de Texas que tuvo que estudiar y trabajar de sol a sol para poder ver su sueño de graduarse y ahora trabaja en la unidad de cuidados intensivos en un hospital de El Paso. Como dato te cuento que hay más de 800 mil recipientes de DACA y solo en el estado de Texas hay 2000 profesores que están trabajando gracias al programa de DACA, y de ser terminado todos ellos se quedarían sin trabajo… y las escuelas no tendrían suficientes maestros.
