E9 | Sovereignty, Control & Promise | Romans 8

Pastors Adam, Matt, Brandon, and Seth continue the conversation from Romans 8:28–30, recently preached at Valley Church in Terre Haute and Valley Church Clinton on 8/9/26.Together, they reflect on seasons of affliction and the ways God has used hardship to shape and form them. They explore the tension between God’s sovereignty and our desire for control, the freedom that comes from trusting Him, and the gifts that can be found as a result of His sovereignty. Ultimately, they return to the hope at the heart of this passage: God is at work, He is forming His people into the image of Christ, and His promises give us confidence even when we cannot see or understand what He is doing.
