E91: How Do I Keep Going After a Job or Career Loss? 2 Steps for Women In Tech

from Build Your Brave Career for Women in Tech · host Nicole Trick Steinbach

We all experience loss, whether it be within our careers or life. We try and we fail...we try again, we fail again, we try again, we succeed, and then the experience starts all over again. We all have these experiences throughout life, so it made sense that I got numerous questions that all boiled down to: how do I keep going after a big loss that feels all-encompassing and final? In this episode I share with you the two primary things that you need to do in order to process your loss, move forward, and continue pursuing whatever it is you desire. I share two personal stories, one extreme from September 11, 2001 and one more common in a missed promotion.Your losses don’t have to remain in the “lose” column. Instead, when you have a loss, you can allow it to serve as an opportunity to feel your feelings, build your trust, learn about yourself and others, and go even further than you could have originally imagined.Tune in to see how my Build Your Brave framework supports you to keep going after a loss, you can keep going, friend.
