Brian is a William and Mary Law School Graduate and currently works as a Partner at BenGlassLaw and as the President of Great Legal Marketing. Ever feel stuck on autopilot, just going through the motions? In this episode, Brian Glass shares his journey from law school pivot points to becoming a partner at BenGlassLaw—and it’s packed with insights on designing a life that matters.

We kick things off by exploring Brian’s unique start: a year at Michigan State Law School followed by a transition to William & Mary. Along the way, he wore many hats—law clerk and content manager—all while learning how to bill by the hour. Brian reflects on his passion for law school, describing case analysis as a puzzle, where every class unlocks the deeper purpose behind the lessons.

A recurring theme? Meta-learning: the skill of learning how to learn, a framework that’s been pivotal throughout his career.

Post-graduation, Brian found his calling in plaintiff’s personal injury, supplemented by what he calls his love for “cross-examining liars.” He dives deep into how young lawyers can sharpen their skills by embracing repetition and getting their reps in early.

Fast-forward to today: Brian is a partner at BenGlassLaw, where he shares the realities of working alongside his father. He gives us a behind-the-scenes look at running a firm known for its customer-first approach and tech-forward strategies, leveraging automation and overseas talent to streamline operations.

But Brian’s journey doesn’t stop at law. He’s also the host of the Life Beyond Briefs Podcast and president of Great Legal Marketing. He talks about creating a life that works for you—building wealth without burning out—and how to design the lifestyle you’d want if money were no obstacle. In addition, Brian speaks about the Great Legal Marketing Summit last year in Orlando, and just recently this past October in Phoenix.

This episode is loaded with wisdom, actionable advice, and motivation to break free from the grind and build a life by design. Tune in now—this one’s not to be missed!
