E97: The Power of Investing in the Green Zone so that You Grow Your Career, Skills, and Leadership

What if you didn’t have to suffer through burnout, exhaustion, or pain before you chose yourself, your goals, and your dreams? What if, instead of suffering and then growing - losing significant amounts of time, energy, connection, and belief – you could notice, chose, and exponentially grow from “good” to “great”?In this episode, I build upon the wisdom shared in E96 with my client Nisha Shrestha - Uncovering Your Wisdom. I share my own journey of understanding when to invest in myself and the metaphor I use for it: the green, red, and yellow zones.  And I offer you the breakthrough question gifted to me: what would happen if you invested when things are good?A bit of insight on how to think about the three different zones…Green Zone: You are thriving!  Things are going well, you're sleeping well, you're taking care of your body, you have relationships that matter to you, you have work that you are enjoying that pays well, you have hobbies you enjoy, etc…Yellow Zone: Some of the green zone lingers, but some of it also is not and you are beginning to feel worn down.Red Zone: You’re not getting good sleep, have poor eating habits, have body pain, are underpaid, overworked, and not enjoying the world.
