Eager to learn Clear skies and cloudy ones, blues skies and black Passed overhead many times since I’ve come back Memories and laughter, teardrops and embraces Good to see all of your friendly familiar faces Years have been kind to our thoughts of one another Funny how there was a time you seemed like my brother Weren’t too many days where we weren’t hanging together Sharing all those crazy memories you know birds of a feather I’m going to wake up tomorrow and be back in the life I love my job, want to buy a house and I found the perfect wife But I think maybe while I’m sipping my coffee, I’ll fondly recall Our time reminiscing about our youth, a teardrop may fall But it’s not borne of inner sadness, nor out of some hidden regret It’s the happy feeling of the past and people I loved and won’t forget I’m proud of where I’ve been and thankful I can always return I can never know too much about you and I’m always eager to learn Tim Windisch 11/12/2022
