Eagles Bolster Secondary with Cornerback Riq Woolen

The Philadelphia Eagles have strengthened their defense by signing cornerback Riq Woolen to a one-year contract valued at $15 million. After a tenure with the Seattle Seahawks that culminated in a Super Bowl victory, the veteran defensive back joins a new roster to compete for a starting role. Woolen is recognized for his extraordinary physical traits, including elite sprinting speed and significant height, which helped him lead the league in pass breakups since his debut. Despite his statistical success, his career has been defined by fluctuating performance and moments of inconsistency on the field. This high-stakes signing represents the Eagles' first major acquisition during the current free agency period. The move signals a defensive transition for both teams as several key contributors depart from the reigning champions.
