Eagles Face Altitude Test at Skydome | Spokane News

Northern Arizona’s Walkup Skydome is a brutal 6,880-foot altitude trap—teams feel it worst in the second half. The home team’s dominance there is real, but visiting Eagles have seen this battlefield before, especially on defense and special teams. Indoors means no wind, which helps kicking, and with season opener stakes high in the Big Sky, new QB Nate Bell’s consistency will be key. His backup saw plenty of snaps last year; can Bell elevate the passing game? Special teams are vital—kicker’s back on turf for practice, new returners stepping in. And crucially: turnovers. Eagles’ history screams that forcing more than giving up = wins. This isn’t just about altitude—it’s about ball control and clutch plays.
