Eagles vs. Commanders Postgame | Week 10
from The Philadelphia Sports Table | Philly Sports News & Views · host The Philadelphia Sports Table
Week 10 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2022-2023 season is now in the books. The Birds lost their first game of the season to the Washington Commanders by a score of 32-2 at The Linc. The Eagles are now 8-1 on the season, and they remain first in the NFC East division. This was a game of missed opportunities and the first time the Birds trailed their opponent at halftime this season. The offense struggled to sustain drives. Turnovers hurt. When you lose the time of possession battle and only run 47 plays to Washington's 81 plays, there's not going to be a ton of success. The Eagles run defense was concerning as the Commanders' running backs, mainly Brian Robinson, was having his way grinding his way through the Eagles front. Darius Slay and James Bradberry had tough games, while the safeties played very well and efficiently. C.J. Gardner-Johnson had his 6th interception of the season, leading the NFL.And by the way, the special teams were an absolute mess.As always, we gave our themes, takeaways and graded the units and coaches.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow the guys on Twitter:Jeff Warren: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen Hunsicker: @LenHunsickerErik Leonard: @BrickPolittFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable
