Eagles vs. Steelers Postgame Show, Week 15

from The Philadelphia Sports Table | Philly Sports News & Views · host The Philadelphia Sports Table

Week 15 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2024-2025 season is now in the books as they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers down at The Linc by a score of 27-13. The Eagles are now 12-2 on the season. They are No. 1 in the NFC East. They have secured a playoff spot, and they continue to dominate the game of professional football. Once again, Vic Fangio has this defense playing at a ridiculously high level. This week, Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown proved there’s nothing wrong with the Eagles passing game.Jalen Hurts and the passing game came through in a big way this week as the rushing attack was not the dominant force we’ve seen this season. Saquon Barkley was held to 65 yards on 19 carries, but Jalen Hurts was 25/32 for 290 yards through the air and threw 2 touchdowns. The passing game is just fine and dandy. Given the media-based strain on this team, specifically Hurts and Brown this past week, it goes to show how head coach Nick Sirianni has grown up and matured over this season.Vic Fangio’s defense only gave up 13 points to a very good Steelers offense. They quelled Russell Wilson to only 128 passing yards. While Wilson did throw 1 touchdown, he and the offense couldn’t sustain drives against the Eagles pass rush and sheer dominance in the middle of the field and in the secondary. Nolan Smith continues to impress as he's now put up 5.5 sacks on the season. We dove into him more in our analysis. As always, we gave our top themes, thoughts and opinions from the game on offense, defense, and special teams, and then graded each unit on both sides of the ball, as well as the coaching staff. It was great to have our friend of the pod Josh Shuster from PhiladelphiaSoccerNow.com join us this week for our analysis.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow us on BlueSky:Jeff: @jeffwarren.bsky.socialErik: @brickpollitt.bsky.socialFollow us on Threads:Jeff: @mrjeffwarrenErik: @slen1023The Show: @philadelphiasportstableFollow us on Twitter/X:Jeff: @Jeffrey_WarrenErik: @BrickPollittThe Show: @PhiladelphiaPSTFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable.
