Eagles vs. Steelers Postgame | Week 8
from The Philadelphia Sports Table | Philly Sports News & Views · host The Philadelphia Sports Table
Week 8 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2022-2023 season is now in the books! The Birds beat the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 35-13 at The Linc in a complete beatdown. The Eagles are now 7-0 in the NFC, and still the only undefeated team in the NFL. They remain first in the NFC East division. This was the ultimate "Jalen Hurts to A.J. Brown game." A.J. Brown is the first Eagles receiver since 1969 to catch 3 touchdowns in a game, each for over 25+ yards. Hurts ended up throwing 4 touchdowns in this game, and is solidifying his future as the franchise quarterback we all hoped he might be. The defense played one of their most complete games of the season. While we certainly saw some soft zone coverages from defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon, the team ended with 6 sacks and 11 quarterback hits. 5 of those sacks came in the second half. Plus, C.J. Gardner-Johnson continues to catch interceptions as he did in this game.Overall, the special teams weren't very special today. 10 of the Steelers 13 points came from the special teams letting the Steelers offense back on the field after the Eagles defense got them off the field. Very sloppy and not the most disciplined unit.As always, we gave our themes, takeaways and graded the units and coaches.Head over to our website for all of our podcasts and more: philadelphiasportstable.com.Follow the guys on Twitter:Jeff Warren: @Jeffrey_WarrenLen Hunsicker: @LenHunsickerErik Leonard: @BrickPolittFollow the show on Instagram: instagram.com/philadelphiasportstable
