EAP Episode.71 - Boo Hewerdine (The Bible) : "I've only ever operated on the fringes and I'm more than happy there"

from Eighties Archive Podcast · host David Arscott + John Mabey

*This episode features excerpts of 3rd party musical content*Boo began his story working in a record shop, much the same as host David!!Rather interestingly Boo's formative years in bands Placebo Thing & The Great Divide both led to record company interest and deal offers including Ensign. By the mid 80s The Bible blossomed and Chrysalis signed them. We talk about the debut album Walking The Ghost Back Home and the Steve Earle produced second album Eureka.Boo has had a great creative relationship with Eddie Reader over the years culminating in an Ivor Novello award, as well as producing artists between the genres of folk, pop and rock, being very happy operating on the fringes of the industry .With an extensive solo career and production credits, Boo now works on songwriting events.Oh and by the way, Boo is not actually Scottish! - DA
