Earl Bloodworth: Defying the Odds

On episode three of Fluid Truth, attorney Shirley Skyers-Thomas sits down with Earl Bloodworth, Director for Reentry overseeing the Mayor's Initiative for Reentry Affairs (MIRA) for the city of Bridgeport. Earl was most recently the Director of the Warren Kimbro Reentry Project, which was the city of New Haven's effort to provide support to incarcerated individuals returning to the greater community up to 12 months before their release. He helped ensure a healthy and successful reentry to society. Listen in to why Earl didn't believe he would live past 25 years of age, as well as why his story is an important piece to understanding if there is equity in the justice system.
