Earthen Vessels of the Holy Heavenly Household | 3650 Minutes of Prayer

This is Day Fifteen of 3650 Minutes of Prayer. This episode centers on the mystery of the earthen vessel within God’s holy household, fragile jars of clay carrying the priceless treasure of Christ while being built together into God’s eternal dwelling. God places His treasure in weak vessels so that the surpassing greatness of the power is clearly from Him and not from us.The God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts, revealing the light of the knowledge of His glory in the face of Christ. This light is the treasure, and we are the vessels. Isaiah 60 declares us the branch of His planting, the work of His hands, established for His glory. Scripture reveals a movement from tent to house. Our present bodies are temporary earthly tents, yet God has prepared a building from Himself, eternal in the heavens. In Christ we are no longer strangers, but members of God’s household, joined together as a holy dwelling place of God in the Spirit.Christ Himself is the first and perfect House. He took on a perishable earthly body, entered death, and rose in a glorified body that death could no longer touch. He is the pattern and guarantee of our heavenly dwelling.
