Real Presence Coalition
Real Presence Coaltion
In July 2024, an informal group of influential Catholics, called the Real Presence Coalition, launched a survey of U.S. lay Catholics to better understand the underlying reasons why there has been a loss of faith in the real presence of Jesus Christ in the most Holy Eucharist. Nearly 16,000 surveys were collected from Catholics across 190 U.S. dioceses. While respondents were able to rate a number of potential issues concerning the Liturgy, The Laity and The Clergy, they could also optionally provide open-ended feedback.Approximately one-third of the RPC survey respondents took the time to provide this additional open-ended feedback, yielding over 5300 responses totaling over 220,000 words. We have produced this audio version of participant feedback to make the responses more accessible to a wider audience. The audio was produced using an artificial intelligence text-to-speech engine and segmented into 29 one-hour podcasts.
