We invite you to join in with us in celebration of Jesus' resurrection! It is a time where we gather to proclaim that Jesus is alive, and acknowledge that His victory over sin and death is not just a nice story, but a historic event! For nearly two thousand years, Christians have been committing their lives to Jesus and making incredible sacrifices for the sake of the Gospel, and it's all been made possible because Jesus is alive! Today we are going to attempt to go back in time and fill the shoes of the first people who were impacted by the resurrection. So much time has passed between then and now, and today is a great opportunity for us to pause and reflect on how this event shaped the lives of the people who first experienced it. In particular, we're going to look at the account from the perspective of a woman named Mary.As we explore this account, we will also be demonstrating that the Easter resurrection story is so much more than an event - it's an invitation. An invitation to believe something incredible about God, the world we're in and ourselves. It's an invitation to eternal life with Jesus in heaven! It's an invitation to walk away from sin and be forgiven!
