Easter Sacrifice Accepted
from Chris Stuart - Tyndale’s Plowboy Hosted by cstpb
The central message of this sermon is that a sacrifice or offering must be accepted by its intended recipient in order to be effective and accomplish its purpose. This acceptance is not just a matter of human effort or fulfillment of rules and regulations, but rather it is God's decision to receive the sacrifice as sufficient payment for sin. The sermon highlights the importance of three key elements: offering the right thing (the sacrifice itself), offering it in the right way (following the prescribed instructions and timing), and doing so for the right reason (love and devotion to God, not self-promotion or pride). Through Jesus' example on the cross, the sermon illustrates that a sacrifice must be offered with the right intention and received by God as sufficient to bring about forgiveness and salvation. The takeaway is that human effort alone is insufficient; it is God's acceptance of our sacrifices that ultimately matters.
