But if we have the wrong perspective, we could miss what Easter is truly about! Context is everything and our new is NOT God's view. That first Easter the disciples and Mary's view from below seemed that all was lost. But from God's view from above, all is WON! That first Easter, God announced to the world that there is HOPE! NT Wright has a quote that says, "Jesus’ resurrection is the beginning of God’s new project not to snatch people away from earth to heaven but to colonize earth with the life of heaven." God wants us to know that Heaven is invading now! And when we look at 3 people who experienced the resurrection first hand we see that truth! Because of the resurrection, Many overcame grief. Because of the resurrection, the Disciples overcame fear. Because of the resurrection Thomas overcame doubt. This means that because Jesus was raised from the dead and walked about of that grave, the resurrection means that Courage is available. It means that Hope is possible and it means that faith is rational. But the question for us is, what do we believe?
