Easter Sunday- Lessons from the last 8 days of Jesus' Life and Ministry

It's Easter Sunday, Hallelujah. Let me teach you a song that my mom taught me when I was a kid. “Jesus is alive and well Jesus is alive and well Anyone you see, tell him for me that Jesus is alive and well”. For over 1,600 years, Christians worldwide have commemorated the final days of Jesus' life during Holy Week. Today, we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, also known as Easter Sunday, which marks the day Jesus rose from the dead. After being executed as a perceived threat to Roman and Jewish power, Jesus lay in his tomb for two long nights. During this time, his disciples, followers, and family mourned his loss, while the forces of darkness and corruption seemed to have triumphed. However, on the third day, an earthquake shook the ground, and an angel dressed in white appeared, rolling back the stone covering Jesus' tomb and scaring away the guards (Matthew 28:2-3).
