Because we have given the state the place of God – and have declared the state to be God by virtue of how we think and conduct our lives – the Lord has given us over to that god. He is allowing us to get our bellies full of the state. He will show us what a taskmaster the state is. Remember the Jews after they were delivered from Egypt? In Ex. 16 they complained about how their bellies were not full like back in Egypt. They were slaves back in Egypt – but no problem with that as long as their bellies were full. And that is how most Americans are. Slaves to the state. And they are good with it – as long as their bellies are full. 38 min.
