Eastern Promises (2007), is our very first David Cronenberg film! And the indent that Ryan made for this is truly spectacular. He’s really outdone himself with this one. We’ve been waiting to review this film for a long time, as it is famously infamous, and also we wanted to wait because it is, of course, a Christmas movie. Some may argue, more Christmas-y than Die Hard (1988). Grab a bottle of Russian vodka, à la Harvey Keitel in Bad Lieutenant (1992), and swig away while you enjoy this treasure.We love you, Viggo.It’s streaming on Starz, if you subscribe to that channel (at least as of 11/29/2021)!
