Eat It Up #66: Kristen Becker

Today on the podcast we have Kristen Becker, stand up comedian and General Manager of Buffalo’s new comedy club Helium. If you haven’t noticed, Kristen has been bringing A-list talent to Buffalo on a weekly basis since Helium opened in August 2012. Aside from running Buffalo’s best comedy club, Kristen is also an accomplished stand up comedian who’s toured the country as a solo comedy and as a part of the Dykes of Hazard comedy tour. I recently listened to her album “How Could She?” and absolutely loved it, I strongly recommend you check it out on itunes or spotify (just with headphones). Kristen came down to the studio a couple weeks ago to talk about growing up in Louisiana, how she got started as a stand up, Buffalo’s growing comedy scene and what she’s planning on doing with Helium in the near future.
