Eating disorders, moving to the US at 15 from Bulgaria, abuse and depression she completed her Masters, has a blog and on the red carpet for 2019 Oscars - with Nikoleta Morales

from Becoming Parents - Birth Stories and Birthwork Wisdom · host Jennifer Campbell

Nikoleta was so open about having eating disorders, both anorexia, and bulimia. Her blog features the underdog as she has a passion for helping others. She's a freelance writer, does PR and covered 2019 Oscars. Her Masters was completed in Chicago, by route of Bulgaria, Sweden, and Africa prior. She's learned how to recognize toxic environments and remove herself from them and fights against body-shaming and helps others with eating disorders. IN HER WORDS: I came to the US at 15 alone to pursue the American Dream. I am 34 now and a single parent with a 9-year-old daughter. I went through a divorce, abuse, trauma, several heartbreaks, losses, immigration, depression, anorexia, bulimia, body shaming and I am a fighter, an ironwoman, as my father and an ex liked to call me and still standing! I am still going through heartbreak as my last boyfriend of 5 years left me to pursue fun and other women. I met him during my divorce. I love entertainment. I am an entertainment journalist, a publicist, and editor and I have interviewed a lot of celebrities and covered the 2019 Oscars. I want to empower women who have been abused, left, oppressed and be their voice for change. I have seen my mother oppressed growing up and still do, I have been through it with my father, men I dated, men in business and I worked with. As women, we have to always fight against being oppressed and objectified by men and that has been my life’s fight and the one I got most wounds in.
