"Eating Together" // Matthew 9 (Sunday 7/28/24)

WE ARE A CULTURE that is serious about our food. In fact, our very own Miguel Montiel was a top chicken-wing eater at Six-Rivers Brewery's contest this year! We love just about everything that has to do with food. But here’s where we’re headed on Sunday: we believe that eating is actually one of the best ways to carry out the Jesus mission! Jesus modeled the power of a shared meal and how important it can be for building caring relationships - really blessing others. Missional eating doesn’t have to be just one more thing to cram into our already over-committed schedules. With just a little bit of intentionality, it can actually become a part of the regular healthy rhythms of our lives. What do you think our towns would look like if Jitterbean, Arcata Pizza Deli, Sweet Greens, Big Island Kine, and our homes became hubs for missional eaters - for people connecting, listening, and caring?Let's catch the vision together this Sunday!
