Ebenezer

Disrespecting God is always a bad idea. Ancient Israel learned this when they treated the Ark of the Covenant as a good luck charm and the Philistines learned it when they treated the Ark as a victory trophy. This ancient story recorded in I Samuel serves as a stark reminder to modern readers that the glory of God is not to be taken lightly.
