Ebola Crisis

Dr Kieran Mitton is Lecturer in International Relations in the Department. He has conducted extensive fieldwork in Sierra Leone for a study of reintegration in the past. Kieran is especially interested in violence characterised as ‘irrational’ and the role played by the emotions of disgust and shame. He has many contacts in West Africa and he is of course following the ebola crisis closely. He talks about the reasons for the current crisis, the most important problems and also the long-term repercussions. Jayne Peake talks to MA student Charlie de Rivaz about next week's events.
