How can you live a meaningful Christian life? Discovering True Wisdom in Suffering (verses 1-14) Suffering for Christians is never pointless. You must believe and trust in God’s goodness during such times, because He is sovereign and controls all things. Suffering forces you to think about the harsh realities of life, its fragile and temporary nature. Relying Only on Christ – Not Your Own Righteousness (verses 15-22) There are no guarantees in life. Even your good deeds cannot guarantee you blessing or prosperity, therefore they must not be relied upon. Learn to trust in the righteousness of Christ, which is all you will ever need. The only worthwhile pursuit in life is the fear of the Lord. Do Not Be Fooled by the Enticement of Sin (verses 23-29) Injustice is everywhere and sinful living is lucrative. But they lead to death. God’s promise to you is that there is always a way by the power of the Holy Spirit to escape temptation. The world thinks itself to be so very wise. But only God’s Word is trustworthy.
