Ecclesiastes part 3

Mairi Stewart continues our series in Ecclesiastes, looking at 3:1–14. We are reminded that life is made up of different seasons, times of joy and sorrow, building and breaking, laughter and tears. But through every season, God remains present and in control. While we may not always understand what He is doing, we can trust that He makes everything beautiful in its time and that even our pain, tears and brokenness are not wasted. Rather than trying to find meaning through pleasure, possessions or performance, we discover true satisfaction when God is at the centre of our lives. We are encouraged us to embrace and enjoy the simple gifts God gives us each day, cultivating gratitude and contentment. Ultimately, God’s purposes are permanent, purposeful and eternal, so whatever season we are walking through, we can trust Him, honour Him, give thanks and rest in the assurance that He is good and will never let us down.
