ED After a "Broken Bone-r:" Dr. Jacomides on Using Sparkwave Treatment on an Injured Penis

This patient was evaluated at our practice and given a range of options for treating his ED, including medication and eventually sparkwave therapy. Sometimes called "shockwave therapy," sparkwave treatment uses focused ultrasound energy to cause microtrauma along the blood vessels and the bodies that hold the blood during an erection and helps to regenerate them so that they're stronger and work better. When properly administered by a urology specialist, sparkwave therapy can be part of a therapeutic program that restores healthy erections and sexual desire in men with ED, peyronie's disease, and/or other conditions causing similar symptoms. If you go to a so-called shockwave clinic that offers only that treatment modality, you will almost certainly be sold that treatment modality...regardless of whether it will actually help you.
