Ed Begley, Jr.

A one-of-a-kind talk with one-of-a-kind actor Ed Begley, Jr! Ed reveals why he spent most of his life as a con man (his words, not mine!), telling lies, breaking the law, doing drugs, drinking too much, cheating on women, and feeling like a victim. We also talk about living with Parkinson's Disease and how Ed changed his life around sometime between St. Elsewhere and Better Call Saul. We get into a lot, including on: Old Hollywood stories involving icons like Jack Nicholson, The Beatles, drugs and the police Ed shares family bombshells – found out his mother wasn't his mother. I call him out on being a liar. He reveals that he talks to Jack Nicholson (who nobody has seemed to hear from in a very long time). Better Call Saul - and our favorite, Patrick Fabian Playing Victor Ehrlich on St Elsewhere We have a very honest, candid conversation about living with Parkinson's Disease after hiding it – and not knowing - for years. Ed brings me a copy of his new memoir, To the Temple of Tranquility...and Step on It, which you can get in my Amazon shop ➤ https://amzn.to/3MukbEf We bond over being optimists. I analyze Ed, in a nutshell. Bonus: At the end of today's show, I added a bonus 10-minute chat with Tim Friedlander, owner of soundBOX recording studio, where he gives us a whole bunch of fascinating factoids about voice acting and what goes on behind the scenes of our favorite movies, TV shows, commercials, video gamees and more.
