While serving as head of security during the church's Easter egg hunt at Jack and Florence Goldin Park, a dispute escalated into violence. Eddie intervened to protect others, including children, and was fatally shot in the process.Witnesses recall Eddie's selfless courage. Eddie Shed is survived by his wife, Doris, and their three children.
