Cayce, a popular clairvoyant who spearheaded both the New Age movement in America as well as holistic medicine, cannot be defined that simply. He was a modest, quirky southern salesman-turned-businessman-turned-paranormal icon. Until his death in 1945, Edgar Cayce mystified millions with his unconventional mediumship which consisted of him laying on a couch and entering a sleep-like trance state.
