Edinburgh Man #82

from Edinburgh Man Podcast

The second podcast of the year, and I'm starting to find my feet a little bit. Due to the pressures of time, however, we're still flying without any notes. But we wouldn't have it any other way. In a shocking turn of events, I've even been to a couple of gigs since the last show! Both free in-stores at Avalanche Records, but gigs nonetheless. Rachel Sermanni on Monday and The Twilight Sad yesterday. Edinburgh Man Jr managed to get along to both too, although the Twilight Sad one was a bit too busy for him to get inside. I also suspect those Twilight Sad chaps are responsible for the low amount of Twitter banter during the show; they were playing at the Grand Ole Opry in Glasgow tonight. I'll let them off though, since their new album is rather splendid. Anyway, tonight's show is a tad eclectic, albeit with a fair amount of jangly indie-pop. If you're looking for the sort of synth-pop and electronica from last week, you're going to be disappointed.
