Edinburgh Man #85

from Edinburgh Man Podcast

Payback, perhaps? The nighttime routine dictated by Edinburgh Man Jr has taken a rather random turn this last week. Possibly due to the fact Edinrbugh Man Sr had the audacity to go to a gig on Saturday night. However, as luck would have it, we managed to get a lie in this morning, until about 6.30am. Luxury. So fingers crossed the baby brain won't effect tonight's show as much as it did last week. About that gig then. It was PAWS / Edinburgh School for the Deaf / Sebastian Dangerfield and Jamie from Broken Records at Edinburgh College of Art. The second of two gigs curated by Stu Lewis of The Tidal Wave of Indifference blog. You know, he who complained about the chiptune a couple of weeks ago. Sadly, I didn't get to the gig until just before PAWS came on. But it was a belter. Ending with the smashing of a guitar. Very punk... although somewhat offset by the rather plaintive tweets later that night. As ever, I digress. Tonight's show starts of with a bit of PAWS, to satisfy any demands for three and a half minutes of punk pop. Elsewhere, however, most of the tracks are nearer 5 or 6 minutes in length! Meaning the show is probably going to be a bit longer that normal. Here's hoping I manage to stay awake...
