Edmonton Oilers keep rolling and Mike Smith shuts up the haters

Is there anything better than a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never to go along with an Edmonton Oilers winning streak? Absolutely not. At least, not in my opinion. Kicking off this week’s podcast, I jumped in with a look at the past week and everything that's gone down with the Oilers, including Leon Draisaitl hitting 50 goals for a second time, Mike Smith shutting up the haters, and the standings being as tight as one could possibly imagine. From there, I looked back on the three wins against St. Louis, Anaheim, and San Jose that happened since the last show and how all three of those wins came in completely different ways. Regardless of how they won, the important part is that the Oilers picked up six out of six points over that span, and I’m hoping this run sets them up for a strong finish to the week against the Kings and Avs. From there, I took a quick pit stop in The Good Life to talk about some of the things that have made me happy over the last few days, and how I'm starting to realize that I'm slowly turning into my dad as I age.
